Commonly referred as the Synod of Dordt (or Dort). This was an international Synod in Dordrecht in 1618-1619 by the Dutch Reformed Church to settle the controversies between teachings of John Calvin, Theodore Beza and their followers and those of Jacobus Arminius and his followers. The primary doctrinal differences were in matters of Soteriology along with changes to the Belgic Confession and the Heidelberg Catechism.
