Basic information:  Theodore Beza (June24, 1516 – October 13, 1605) was a French Protestant Theologian and a disciple of John Calvin. Beza earned his law degree from the University of Orleans in 1539. The academy in Geneva was organized in 1558—Beza served there as a Greek instructor and, later, as the pastor of a city church. Beza produced numerous secular and historical studies, including a biography of John Calvin called Memoirs of the Life and Writings of John Calvin.
